What is on the card

The English on the front and the Spanish on the back, or the other way round if you set reverse. 40 cards, eight to a sheet, 5 sheets and 10 pages with the backs. The card is 95 by 69.3 mm. The fronts set at 40.55 pt and the backs at 45.15 pt, which is smaller than most decks here because “the window” and “la ventana” are longer than “7 x 8”.

The article is part of the word

Spanish nouns carry a gender and the article shows it, so the cards say “la casa” rather than “casa”. The article is on the card because it is part of the word, not because it is extra.

Both directions are different decks

English to Spanish and Spanish to English are not the same exercise, and being fluent one way round says very little about the other. Print it both ways if you want both, which is two files rather than one deck with the cards shuffled.

Forty words

Everyday nouns: the house, the dog, the water, the school. It is a starting vocabulary and it is not a course. Nothing here teaches a verb, and nothing here has an opinion about how anybody should learn a language.
