Letter flashcards
The alphabet deck set to capitals only. 26 cards, six to a sheet, with a word on the back.
Capitals only
The bench above is the alphabet deck with case set to upper, so the front carries A rather than “A a”. 26 cards, six to a sheet, 5 sheets and 10 pages with the backs. The card is 95 by 92.3 mm, the fronts at 64 pt and the backs at 52.98 pt.
Why you might want one case and not both
A card showing “A a” teaches two things at once, which is efficient and is not always what you want. A child sorting capitals into alphabetical order, or matching capitals to small letters as a separate pack, needs one case on the card and nothing else on it. Set case to lower and print the deck a second time and you have both packs to match against each other.
The back is the same either way
Whichever case you print, the back carries the same word: a word beginning with the sound the letter makes. If you want the letter alone on both sides, the blank deck will give you ruled cards to write on instead.
